![]() ![]() The property is very well located and you can walk to Walgreens and pizza places making it nice for families except there are heroin addicted passed out on the sidewalk. The staff at the restaurant and bars were also exceptional and were friendly and helpful. On the positive side, the pool staff was friendly and cleaned up the common areas well and there are a lot of great resort activities like games and dance lessons and even free treats throughout the day. It pit a lot of guests against one another because there was literally nowhere to sit from very early in the day. This was a problem for several days but got better after New Years. The pool staff didn’t do their due diligence with guests reserving pool chairs from 6am and not arriving until much later. The concierge was useless and told me upon arrival, literally every was booked but I went online myself and found tours and activities quite available. Plus, Marriott counts award nights as qualifying nights for lifetime elite status. ![]() We had three rooms on different floors and it was impossible to have a hot shower and this continued even after the hotel emptied out after the holiday. Marriott Bonvoy lifetime elite status is popular with many travelers, especially since the elite night credits you can earn with select Marriott Bonvoy credit cards count as qualifying nights for elite status and lifetime status. The hotel is clean in public areas and the housekeeper kept the rooms clean on a daily basis. The first days, leading to New Years, the property was very crowded making it difficult to get our check in by 4pm but the manager did compensate us with food and beverage credit. There were definitely pluses and minuses here. My only negative was the towels were a little rough on the skin especially with a sunburn. Some days they make free popcorn and offer cool towels and ice-pops which is a nice added touch. Make sure you make your presence known :). But he was always kind to check in with us to ensure we liked it.Īt the beach they go the extra mile with setting up your chairs to the point where as the sun shifts they come and move them for you. The bellmen (Juan Carlo?)gave us fabulous suggestions on where to eat each night which were all within walking distance. We were hungry so sitting by to pool to get a bite to eat was nice. They could have offered a floored lower room but said we would enjoy the higher room view better. When we arrived at 3pm our room wasn't quite ready yet. The entire staff was warm and friendly! Everyone was multi lingual between English and Spanish.
